Learning Spanish

The instructor in the course is a man named
Mauricio Evlampieff, who is a native Spanish
speaker.
The course contains modules
that take you along your journey of
learning a new language. The first module
contains 31 audio tracks designed to have you
speaking basic words after your first
lesson.
The course teaches conversational
Spanish which means you
will be able to have basic conversations right
away.
The package includes the
actual transcripts of the audios and we found
that particularly helpful in following along.
Each audio is about 20 minutes long which means
the full module is about 12 hours of content.
The methods used within this first module will allow you
to absorb and speak Spanish quickly.
Twelve hours seems like a lot I know, but
the way the course is set up into fun games and
exercises, the time flies, and you will stay
excited about it because you are learning
quickly.
One of the software applications included is what they
call MegaVocab™. This is a vocabulary
recognition tool. I found this very helpful
throughout the program.
You basically run
through a series of words and you learn the
words through repetition, and an association
with a picture. It's sort of like the flashcards
you used to learn with when you were a kid.
The software has 1000 words
and pictures built into it, but it also allows
you to add more words and pictures of your
choice as you continue to learn.

Once we started to learn the vocabulary we moved on to the MegaAudio™ software. This phase of the course is where we started to feel confident we were on the right track.
The software provides exercises to test and improve your recognition of the spoken words. The system provides a score with each exercise so you always have a unit of measure for your progress.
We found this software to be a lot of fun to use. It's one thing to learn the vocabulary, but to understand it when spoken, is another.
In our opinion this is where other programs fall short, and where Rocket Spanish excels.

Another cool aspect of
the Rocket Spanish™ program is that its not
just an introductory course. The course is
designed with the assumption the student
has no background in the language when starting.
But it continues to an advanced level as well.
We
felt this increased the value of the
program because you wouldn't have to go out and
buy a more advanced course as you progress.
Possibly the most impressive
part of this course is the members only forum
where you can ask questions and communicate with
other students and the Rocket Language online
instructors. To us this forum made the cost of
this course a real bargain. If you happen to get
stuck on something, you find lots of help in the
forum.
Our closing comment
involves the pricing of this course. It's
priced at one hundred dollars, which
means it is still priced lower than most of the
other courses on the market.
The course is
downloaded from the Rocket Language website and
we loved that aspect of this course. It saved us
a lot of money and allowed us to get
started right away. We were then able to listen
on our computer, burn the material to a CD, and
even load audio on an ipod.
